How are they just technical fodder? Have you heard "Hollow Years," or"Space Dye-Vest," or the whole Metropolis Pt. 2 album? Dream Theater is one of the few progressive metal bands that can blend technical virtuosity with inspired lyrical content and songwriting.

Iron Maiden put out 2 of their best albums this decade, "Brave New World" and "A Matter of Life and Death." Seriously, no mention of either of those?
