The airbender kids saw him on Bolin's shoulder. Jinora explained what a fire ferret was, then Ikki squealed over Pabu's cuteness and chased him around the dock.

Pacing has been LoK's problem all season. It's not just this episode. In fact, I would argue that only "A Leaf in the Wind," "And the Winner Is…," and possibly "When Extremes Meet" have been remotely well-paced. They've all been good (though some have been better than others) content-wise, but they need room to…

Though depending on when Bolin walked in, he might not have known that Mako was in the middle of rejecting her. After all, he was a fair distance down the dock from them and probably couldn't hear what they were saying. All he saw was Korra kiss Mako and Mako kiss her back, probably.

- The opening scene was so creepy. Tarrlok was giving me serious serial killer vibes - he just happens to have a scary cabin in the mountains with a Korra-sized cage in the basement? I know he probably isn't routinely bloodbending young girls into his hidden abode, but it did make me wonder.
@The_Tuna:disqus Nah, it seemed pretty obvious to me that Lin was giving Korra an "I'm watching you" sort of gesture, and she angrily responded in kind. The reference video Bryan Konietzko posted on his Tumblr supports this.

Eh, I'm still not wild about her. I feel like I don't know much about her at all, other than that she's sweet and slightly spoiled and likes to drive fast cars. Which is cool and all, but I would like a bit more depth.

Although the interactive game also explicitly that bloodbending could be used to crush internal organs, and thus far we haven't seen any of that, so I'm getting scared for Toph and Sokka during the Yakone flashbacks. I sincerely hope neither of them met their end that way, it would just be so depressing.

And their age difference is still less than Tenzin and Pema's.
