Director Michelangelo Antonionni made fine use of Page's Tennessee Waltz in Zabriskie Point, his only American film, in the scene where the hippie girl visits a bar full of old timers wasting away in a little desert town overunned by wild, mentally retarded children from the city.

Grace Jones also recorded a cover of She's Lost Control.

Most worthwhile show on tonight: TCM- After The Thin Man with Powell and Loy as Nick and Nora Charles swilling martinis and solving a mystery on New Year's Eve in San Francisco.

My dad took me to see Watership Down when it first came out in the theaters. I was 12 or so at the time.  I really liked the movie and wasn't scared or traumatized by it.  I was given the book and I read it 12 times in a row.  As soon as I finished it, I go back to page 1. I was obsessed.  Still one of my favorite

I always liked the tag line to see Gilda (1946) with Rita Hayworth:  There Never Was a Woman Like Gilda.

The 1976 version of Sparkle didn't star Diana Ross, it starred Irene Cara and Lonette McKee.  The girl group in Sparkle is based, sort of, on Diana Ross and the Supremes.

How about the Saul Bass designed credits sequence for the trashy 1962 movie Walk on the Wild Side?
