Though she played the role of Billie Dawn on Broadway, Judy Holliday wasn't the first choice for the movie. It was Rita Hayworth who was Columbia's top star, but she ran off to marry Aly Khan and took a few years off from Hollywood. So Harry Cohn (who may have been the basis for the Harry character) cast Judy

Breaking point is excellent. Garfield had excellent chemistry with Patricia Neal in that one. And the final shot is classic.

I think Universal got there first with Airport 1977 which combined a jewel heist with disaster as well as the 70s obsession the Bermuda Triangle.

Electronic - Getting Away with it

Ryan Bingham - Dylan's Hard Rain

Big Star - You Get What You Deserve

Son Volt - Ten Second News

George Harrison - All things must pass

Amy Winehouse - Love is a Losing Game

Michell'e - No More Lies

The Marvelettes - Destination Anywhere

Kelly and Michelle of Destiny's Child have been making films?

Kim Novak gives one of her best performances of her career in Kiss Me Stupid. She's very touching and shows a great emotional vulnerability.

Mark Andes was in Heart from 1982 until 1991. Heart certainly included Zepplin covers in their concerts including Stairway. Did Andes ever notice any similarities then?

Another: The Killers Mr. Brightside and Miss Atomic Bomb.

Other outside canon recommendations would be some of Powell and Loy's better non Thin Man teamings such as Libeled Lady and I Love You Again both excellent showcases for their screwball comedy skills and great chemistry.

A couple of others I can think of: I Heard it Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye (original version by Gladys Knight and the Pips); I'm into Something Good by Herman's Hermits (original version by Earl-Jean);
