Yeah, the breaking point didn't seem all that earth-shattering…. Greg could make that with a jackhammer and duct tape. Reminds me of the multiple Harry Potter fan-analysis that point out that human technology has actually surpassed wizard magic, and Voldemort wouldn't have actually been much of a threat. Why would

Yeah, totes. And I'm glad they're going that route with her. I hate it when a show tells you to worship an off-screen character. Makes it more interesting to see that the Gems are unreliable narrators.

I'm ecstatic that Pearl continues to seem happy for multiple episodes in a row. Let the good times roll!

One of the Crewinerse confirmed once that if Steven gets poofed, he's dead dead.

Oh man, Rose really does have a dark side. To poof her soldier for going too far…. but then to keep the weapon just in case SHE had to go too far one day? And not even tell the rest of the team? Cold blooded!

Holy. Crap. So much to unpack.

I'm going to an anime con next weekend and I'm gonna cry if I'm not able to find a booth that has hastily made a bunch of Pearl stickers for purchase

"I get mad at myself! That's the thing I do!" Well said Amethyst.

I KNOW RIGHT!!! Traumatizing AF

That DnD episode of Community, but with the SU cast. Yaaaaassssssssss

Her and Peridot would get along so freakin' well. I need to see that more than anything else now.

Yay for avoiding spoilers, cause that was a great surprise! Like holy fucking shit, Jasper/Amethyst interaction AND Stevonnie with sword and shield. Dreams do come true. And new Amethyst clothes, nice!

Ah, so this is what the Crewinerse wanted to keep spoiler free, it's a Jasper arc, huh? Alright, she's never been my favorite but it's time. That ripping the gems out of the chest was brutal.

This is generally the point in the anime where the main character's overwhelming competency in whatever-the-show's-about stumbles and they are unable to overcome a challenge, and they get a little depressed and have to look inside themselves, before eventually building back up to kick ass all the time without fail.

I know, right? Fuckin' savage

*slow clap*

Based on the fact that she pulled the camera to her and was probably out of earshot of Greg when she gave Steven her monologue in "Lion 3: Straight to Video", I'd guess that she didn't tell Greg this was going to happen yet. I'd further guess that she knew the whole time and didn't tell him till close to the end.

I mean, we basically did with "Steven's Birthday". The gems even said they weren't good with the baby stuff, and Greg did all the work. Makes sense. How would they know how to care for something young and helpless that will eventually develop into a thinking, sentient being? They don't have life cycles in Gem

Ah, did not know that. I believe it. It's vague enough that it works in multiple character to character relationships.

Sure, sure ;)
