All of the kids that watched ATLA, at least in its orignal run, are older teens and adults now.

I feel that's the best part of dealing with fewer episodes at a time, they get to devote that much more time to each episode individually. As stated by The Director elsewhere, they really took the time to develop the lighting and get the compositing just right for all the episodes.
