On a serious note, when Jonah said "You're a killer," I got very excited. I thought that the family (or at least Jonah) knew and that Arthur forced Jonah to shoot Deb and Lundy. That would have been a good direction.

John Lithgow is ugly
I agree, it won't be easy to write themselves out of this corner, mostly because someone that looks like John Lithgow has never produced someone that looks like Courtney Ford.
