Metal Gear Solid 2 definately defied expectation, heck, people still bitch about it, completely dismissing characters (you know who) and plot elements just to get their hero back. The game sold anyway.

Theme wars: pitting Castle versus Pirates. That's what the fans want.
…apparently the LEGO gods have granted me a duplicate post!
I was not a LEGO Maniac
I never felt like I was qualified to be a LEGO Maniac, due to the fact that I didn't sport sunglasses and a denim jacket. Without it you lack the divine prowess to build the LEGO Ark that will take you to the promised land, which is somewhere around Carlsbad, CA.

I was wondering where the trailer for this film went. They released some clips a few months back and then nothing…. and now it's competing with Where The Wild Things Are. Day-um.
Here's a story! Maybe this was when Radio Shack was in transition from being some enthusiast electronics store that even sold RC's to becoming the depressing Best Buy-lite it is today (mid-late nineties, I think), but a bratty prepubescent version of myself walked in with my cousins. If I remember right, they didn't even finish what they started. I wonder why. The first story arc anyway. It's better read than played though.
It could, if they adapt Turtles in Time.
Well, George Sprott looks good
Only read an excerpt from Best American Comics… but from what I've seen it's a pretty quaint fictional account of TV personality…. and it's a lot more thought provoking than it sounds. Sort of like an existentialist Citizen Kane.
Unencrypted, transferable, and manipulative formats = longevity.
I'm a huge fan of the LucasFilm/Arts games myself, but the only Seirra adventure game I've played was the first Leisure Suit Larry, and I get nightmares of having to figure out just what chain of words the developers had in mind in order to advance.
Oh man! What potential oscar bait.
