I was totally disappointed when I finally got to see Feast. Watching the third season of Project Greenlight really had me rooting for it to be a winner, but instead it ended up being a smug, self-satisfied exercise in crassness that was never nearly as clever as it thought itself to be. I was shocked to discover that

And pot.

And pot.

@avclub-43c4c95a1f9da24b14ada750874ec5d1:disqus Wasn't he also in "The Valley of Fear"?

@AnalBumCover:disqus How about we say Keaton was his Harvey Keitel? Does that work?

Also, someone (Singer?) made the decision to change the circumstances under which Storm says, "The same thing that happens to everything else." She was originally supposed to say it *after* Toad gets struck by lightning and flies off into the bay, and her delivery was supposed to more casual, almost disappointed that

@avclub-e3019767b1b23f82883c9850356b71d6:disqus That's really Joel Silver's fault, since he had the rights for so many years (and didn't seem to know what to do with the property). WB just recently ended their association with Silver, meaning the Wonder Woman rights are back at WB proper. Of course, I'm sure it

All the higher ups at WB should have been forced to watch that Marvel marathon that the AMC theaters did on Thursday so that they might start to understand what they need to do re: Justice League.

@avclub-a1967e6de4ca99fb2635d94b99453928:disqus I suppose the argument could be made that Stark is the character who goes through the most personal growth. At the same time, you could kind of make the same case for Banner. Tell you what, though, Joss Whedon knows how to write dialog for Robert Downey Jr.

Thanks for the info, @avclub-ab60729bcbd8293eb5f31e5077c29049:disqus . Perhaps I'll at least finish up that volume.

@avclub-92a4841c9f86965effbc29fa6eae9f77:disqus I found the Marvel "color" books to be fine but ultimately slight and forgettable. I liked most of Hush a lot, but I felt it just kind of built to a lot of nothing. The last issue or two were really anti-climactic. I think that would have been fine if it had just been a

@avclub-4c7dad974f6cd6dd2ce6e8a7e438fca8:disqus I actually just picked up Avengers Assemble Vol. 1 last week. I read through the first story arc (with Morgan Le Fay and Mordred) and found myself very underwhelmed. For one thing, I was definitely put off by the huge cast of characters, a couple of which I hadn't even

@avclub-61e626641b507015d1d403d2ecdd02fb:disqus Yeah, the last time I re-read Born Again, I found myself wondering how they would get around that. I suppose it probably won't be too hard, but it was a really cool surprise when reading the story.

No doubt! Admittedly, when the song first started up, I didn't realize what it was (since Broken was one of the NIN albums I listened to the least). I feared they'd screwed up by putting some crappy nu-metal song over the credits. Once I realized who it was, I found myself thinking, "Genius!"

I didn't get into Quicksand until well after the fact, but it was actually thanks to remembering the video for "Dine Alone" on Beavis and Butt-Head that led me to pick up a used copy of Slip when I came across it at a record store. One of the best music purchases I've ever made.

My question is were Batman: The Long Halloween and Superman For All Seasons just flukes? I was pretty sure after reading those that Loeb must certainly be one of the greats. Oh, how wrong I was!

Fox also unfortunately has Daredevil and Elektra. I'm desperately hoping that something happens to keep Fox from getting another Fantastic Four or Daredevil movie in production before the option expires.

@avclub-b32768df2cfff3a5ab1a78d093711e2c:disqus I agree. I really enjoyed how Brubaker offered a bit of a rebuttal to the "You think this A stands for 'France'?" in the 616 Captain America comic, when Steve has a little monologue about how much he respected the French resistance fighters and how much he disliked the

Actually, no. Ross's predecessor Dick Cook greenlit John Carter. (Prince of Persia also went into production before Cook was asked to step down, so Ross can't entirely be blamed for it.) Ross just failed to sell it to the public.
