And they fucking cancelled Ben & Kate…
Why would he? He's right. Just because it focused on crazy people doesn't mean it transcended the formulaic rom-com genre. And this comes from a big O. Russell fan.
Gotta love how these guys can shoot zombies on the head with 100% accuracy, even when riding cars in motion, but when it comes to a living target out in the open who is not even taking cover, they can't shoot jack shit.
I still remember the first time I watched a promo for this show. I though it looked stupid, soap opera-ish, and just one more show trying to hop on the LOST train.
Oh! So Danny is an old grump that doesn't know internet words! HA-HA
Mindy is. Still not as bad as the "Jakob Dylan's dad" joke, which I can't still get over with. I think that if you know who The Wallflowers are, and you know that Jakob Dylan has a famous musician dad, you would know who Bob Dylan is.
That "bitch" joke didn't even make sense. I believe "ch" is always pronounced "sh" in spanish, so why would Fausta pronounce it as a hard C?
I just can't figure out Mindy as a character for the life of me. She's supposed to be really smart and cultured, but then they give her some ridiculous lines that not even the dumbest person would say. I mean, that would be fine (to some extent) if she was a secondary character, but she's the lead and that's just…
Welp, I guess I'm out, but I guess I'll leave with a positive thought: Kailing is definitely funny and talented, and I fully believe that one day she will make a great TV show, but she won't star in it. That, and the theme song for this thing is catchy as hell.
Best of luck, Mindy!

You don't Shay!
You don't Shay!
I mean that whole false notion some people have about feminism being about women being superior to men instead of just plain equality between genders. That's what I got from this episode, a very heavy "men are soooo incompetent without women!" vibe.

This episode was EXACTLY what I was fearing this show would be: Mindy getting disrespected and put down by her male co-workers for being a woman, but once things go bad, they realize she is the savior, so she comes back to show everyone a lesson about misogyny and sexism. It's just too on the nose, predictable and not…

A few things:
-Goddammit, Dianna Agron. I thought you had realized you were better than this.
-Sam is becoming my favorite character, he's just fucking hilarious in a cast where everyone takes themselves oh-o-seriously.
-I was thinking the other day, does anyone remember that Irish kid that sang about being green that…

Does anyone know if they're doing the Jackass episode this season? Or did they just scratch that idea altogether?
