I was really struck by the close-up of that pro/con chart Byers made up, it was all  hand-applied letter stickers.  They didn't include the sexual molestation accusations I read elsewhere made against Hobbs by his family - really disturbing.

I thought the mention of the date of hearing and then the rushed ending captured the reality of the situation perfectly.  They thought they had 4 months and then got the plea offer in a matter of days.  And Jason's comments at the end were very powerful.

I heard he killed a man just to watch him die!  He admitted it!

@Senator_Corleone
Strong, well-defined females? Well, it's obvious you haven't seen Hostel 2, as you admit.

I always assumed that they got the name from A Clockwork Orange.

Those of us who had a dad who refused (and refuses still) to subscribe to cable had to wait until Friday nights and record the show on VHS to play over and over all week….probably nearly the same amount of repetition as the kids who had MTV!  I clearly remember the disapproving looks I received for replaying "You

Right?  The "colder" person thinks the guy with the stripper is sadder?  And you have to be "dumb" to think the guy with the stripper at the Hard Rock about to go on tour is "cooler"?

I take issue with "the only reasonable answer is both deaths are equally sad.”
If your best is behind you, I don't think any death is

This was the turning point, just before we heard about Metallica.  I always preffered the heavier stuff like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc, and moved into thrash, but went along with all my female friends to the hair metal concerts, but it was just pop to me.

I would never call Def Leppard or Whitesnake "glam". I consider glam a subset of "hair". You really have to be painted up like a tart to be glam.

Tesla was very markedly NOT hair metal.  It was culture shock to see them come out on stage wearing jeans, regular shirts and no hairspray.

A rebel, playing the #1 song in the nation.

As a girl, I felt free to like my dad's copy of that Loverboy album.  It was almost the reverse shot of Vince Neil's (?) crotch on Motley Crue's 'Too Fast for Love' album cover.

Quiet Riot/Whitesnake was my first concert, too, in Milwaukee!  I wore the glow-in-the-dark concert t-shirt to a babysitting gig the next day and was not asked back after that.

Watching Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory

and Project Runway All-Stars.

I feel like I should watch the original, after seeing even Edina on AbFab watching it, even though the ending has been spoiled, but I'm not quite sure I can bring myself to do it.

I could see MAYBE if they found out who the killer was early in the season, but had to build a case to charge them with the murder that would stand up in court.  That might add some tension.  But if she really means we won't know untl the end, it seems hopeless.

For once, the US version of Shameless is actually much better.

It's like the This Old House of cooking.

I gotta admit, for the first time ever, I was impressed with her voice, but for me there's no coming back from the Ron Paul endorsement. ( I'm now driven to distraction by Elisabeth Moss' Scientologist beliefs when I watch her on Mad Men, too.)

It's (Nugent's ridiculousness) way beyond ridiculous at this point.
