Two things that made this episode great:
The too-outrageous-to-be-true bit is my favorite and I could was so happy it was happening as soon as Schmidt starting the blender gag.
I was put off from the beginning. I didn't buy that Barney would make Ted do all those things. The cliff hanger from last episode made it seem like Barney was having a serious feeling but the reprisals were petty. I'm sure there's precedent for Barney acting that way but I probably didn't buy those either.
