Which is a pity, because that's one of the most engrossing scenes in the entire movie. The subtle push in from the camera, making you want to lean closer, the casual back and forth that doen't make the information feel overloaded while still overloading you with information, the sense of wonder the government agents…

I thought it was okay, like  "Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake" by Aimee Bender. I mean, it hits all your typical bildungsroman notes, and individual scenes and images are strong, though overall the whole thing is just…okay.

I tried it with my boyfriend too (since we saw DARK KNIGHT RISES in IMAX, there weren't any previews).

I'm definitely a major New Yorker fan. I didn't renew Time after my initial run originally because it was so…vapid as a news source. But then they gave me one of those $15 offers and I was like, Why the fuck not? Other people in my family like it so….
