O.K., It's Piaf
Dunno about you, but I hear more of what Giacchino was doing in the "Lost" score than anything: those huge, abrsaive trombones and short, nearly cut off notes.
Is This Coming Out Before or After
Is this coming out before or after Pitt makes his turn as Fawcett in "The Lost City of Z" adaptation. Because, otherwise, what's the beard for?
Just Read
Really, just read his Paris Review interview instead. I think it was in their spring issue and Bradbury's contradictory enthusiasm is somewhat more controlled. (Although it's still present, because having Bradbury's old-man nuttiness is a lot of the fun from reading his interviews.)
The only thing is, Book Three of "Airbender" didn't make any glaring missteps like Ewoks. Or blue singing elehpants.
Excellent
I'm excited.
In education, a Master's gives you better pay and more flexibility to teach what you'd like. Many schools also require Master's to teach higher level/AP/IB classes, where, you know, the smart students are, who are maybe capable of reading "Moby-Dick" (but probably not, because no one in high school seems to realize…
I'm There
Ridiculously intelligent/handsome men in Hamm and Franco.
In Colorado, you can substitue some things while you're an undergraduate.
Gimmicky commenter maybe, but still far less so than her husband.
Oboy, Millhauser!
Wow
Even Michiko Kakutani liked this one.
The Crying of Lot 49
Now that's a great rock and roll novel.
Further cons: Shyamalan 86ed King Bumi (who, you know, is kind of important), and I heard Jet and the Freedom Fighters as well. Then went and boosted the presence of the Blue Spirit.'
Anyone who takes B. R. Myers seriously probably would be better off reading the Twilight series another time. Even when he closes in on being correct on some point, some fault that granted a lot of his despised writers have, he always manages to veer off and make an utterly ridiculous point about nothing.
Menomena.
That Kinks Song
I always liked that Kinks song. It's like having a dozen different Kinks songs thrown through a Rocky Horror filter.
Mix Up
I keep mixing up Lev Grossman with Les Grossman. One's a mediocre critic. One produces mediocre movies (in a fictional alternate reality dreamed up by Michio Kaku).
This Happened a Few Years Ago…
…when "Pushing Daisies" got unceremoniously canned — although with that, toward the end, it started to feel like ABC was purposefully trying to kill the show.
