Well, I'm in Vegas for other less fun reasons, but since I'm relatively close by, and the Grand Canyon is the only reason I ever want to set foot in Arizona, I figured why not take advantage of my relative proximity.

Well, I've looked at all the trails on the South Rim and read reviews of them, and I'll only go down to certain points that lead me into the Canyon (as opposed to walking along the rim) and then turn around. And it'll STILL be quite a hike. I'm really glad they have shuttles at so many points along the rim, though.…

FYI, I'll be staying in Flagstaff, but I'll definitely need to eat something for lunch that isn't just granola or whatever I can carry in my pack.

But if I included my CD collection, it'd probably be Aimee Mann, Beatles, or Bjork.

I'll be walking a sh*tload around the Grand Canyon next week, probably around 6 or 7 miles (since I want to get all my sightseeing in in one visit and live far from it), possibly more than I've ever walked in a day. We'll see how long I make it.
