There's that, too.  A friend of mine in college (who none of us would be surprised if he came out later in life) had a long-term girlfriend and now wife that resembled a fat Ewok (those weird lady sideburns and all).  He was extremely nice, EXTREMELY Christian, and yeah, useless in a confrontation.  So yes, that, too.

I might be in the minority here, but I judge men with unattractive wives/girlfriends in a completely different way than Larry.  More often than not, I assume they're gay (and the wife's an unwitting beard).
