Yeah. That part, sadly, makes sense. It just gets particularly douchey when Mike Love sues Al Jardine for touring as "The Beach Boys Family And Friends," and then sues Brian Wilson for a promo CD related to "SMiLE," and walks around basically being Mike Love. The man pretty much owes his life to a stroke of luck,

Yeah, it's too low-pitched to be a woodblock. It's just a deadened cowbell. I guess they could have recorded the whole thing at three times the speed, then slowed it back down so it sounded like a cowbell. That would have been some super fast playing, but shit man, cocaine, you know?

Joni Mitchell? Maaaaaaybe?

Damaged bad at best?

Bill Murray's getting up there, he might be able to do it without makeup this time!

Maybe this song six times, one pass of ABBA's "Dancing Queen," then this song another four times?

I've often wondered how much his suicide has effected people who got into him after 2003. The occasionally defeatist, bleakly sad parts of his music got a lot harder to listen to after he killed himself. Not saying that's the reason people might not be getting into him these days, but I know that if I hadn't really

Funny, I really got into Elliott Smith when I was 19-22, and have felt less and less connected to the music ever since.

That one's more the harsh reality, letting your guard down kinda thing. I'm not sure which one I prefer, but this one's a lot easier to sing along to.

This. . . wait. . . what are you listening to?

Who's kidding who here, Sofia Vergara in lingerie pretty much cancels out any cons I can think of. Besides a wacky musical-comedy set during the Tet Offensive.

Wasn't that basically "Jacob The Liar?" I never saw that movie.

It used to sync great with Smile, but then Brian Wilson rerecorded it.

Some time I'll have to bunker down and watch that.

As is the acting. I have a harder time gaging the acting if they're all talking in a foreign language.

How far in did you get?

Last time I checked, you could still only get one kind of cheese. They can win a damn Oscar, but I can't get a burger with Swiss? COME ON.

I was a Maxell XL-II fan myself. I don't miss the tape format, but I definitely miss the notion of making mixtapes. You had to work in real-time, you had to sit there and listen to every single song. If you suddenly figured out that this ONE SONG worked so much better earlier on Side A, you could change things up, but

I definitely disagree on hipsters being responsible for the vinyl comeback. I've always preferred the sound of vinyl to any other format - it's warmer and less brittle. The only downside is, it's absolutely not portable. It's not just a hipster nostalgic ironic thing to appreciate the sound of a record.

Ever seen the "Still Bill" documentary from a few years back? It's great. Pretty sure it's still on Netflix Instant.
