This sounds terrible but I felt Dear Zachary was so manipulative, despite the timeline of the actual events that it ruined much of the film for me.

I have a very strong stomach and parts of American Psycho had me thinking "Holy shit, what the fuck am I reading?"  If the movie were faithful to the book, it would essentially be hardcore porn mixed with a snuff film.

The reaction videos of people watching 2girls1cup are fucking hilarious.

I generally like his films but I couldn't stand this one.  I though it was complete, pretetious garbage.  Maybe I'm missing something or just aren't intellegent enough to grasp the meaning but I really, really hated it.  And I never 'hate' movies.

Bad Lieutenant is one of my all-time favorite movies.  Seriously.  And as @avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus  points out, his re-make of 'Body Snatchers' is very good.

Really?  The first time I watched this tracking shot I couldn't believe it.  It was one of those moments where a minute and and a half in, you're thinking "shit, he really is going to pull this thing off."  Brilliant, brilliant shot.

PRIMER.  By the end, who is actually Arron and who is actually Abe?

That was pretty fucking great.

That's not a tattoo; that's actually what physically happens to you when you are touched by That Sweet, Sweet Laurel Canyon Sound.

@avclub-7f55db33fbb1aeb3132ef7151d50c9d9:disqus Damn right.  Shadow is one of the few acts I haven't seen.  Watching a dj battle live is pure awesome.  I went to a DMC final years ago and it was amazing (and I've spun for more than a decade).  One of the finalists was 16 years old and his technical skill was absurd.

But at least if Michael Mann directed it, there would be a kick-ass shoot out scene.

Where?  Brownsville?  Most of BK is good.  Also, I thought she was only living in London.  Eh, whatever.  I've already thought too much about MIA and I've just read the article 5 minutes ago.  Although I do now have the urge to go listen to "Paper Planes".

ESPECIALLY Cornelius.  Dude owes me $20.

*yawns*  Wake me up when we start talking about T.S. Eliot.  I want a movie version of 'The Wasteland'.  Either David Lynch or Gus Van Sant can direct.  Maybe Michael Mann.  That would be interesting.

You're nuts.  She is damn fine.  Privileged and fake as hell?  Sure.  But she's still hot.

I don't trust a Vanderbilt.  Never have, never will.

Hobos, Kirk.  He's murdering hobos.  He HATES hobos.

Yeah, I'm too old for the facebook aspect.  Replace it with "Burn cd from Napster list" and we're in business.

What the fuck happened?

I don't know about BK but there's one in Times Square.  Which, I kid you not, was where I had drinks/first kiss with my ex years ago.  We wound up being together for four years.  After that we saved up and went to nice restaurants.  But, well the point of the story is still the same.  (TIP: If you want romantic, not
