I've tried to make pizza several times and I'm always underwhelmed (and I know my way around a kitchen and am a pretty good cook.) I think it's a matter of getting my oven hot enough. That and handling the dough properly.

I don't agree; Papa John's is servicable as is Dominos, especially late at night when you're drunk. Real authentic NY pizza is still the best (I'll go John's or Lombardi's as best) and you really can't get a bad slice anywhere in Jersey.
I like pizza of all varieties but that Big Dinner Box looks like it's made up of nothing but grease. You could probably gain 10 lbs just by doing the math for how many carbohydrates it has.
It's good!
I think it's time as a Nation that we ask ourselves a tough question: did Candlebox ever REALLY go away? No. No they did not.
That actually is pretty cool. Still hate the song, though.
Awful song.
American Pie is my absolute all time most hated song. Ever. Seriously, I get angry just thinking about it.
Hotel California should never be "re-purposed" in any way, shape or form. Even if it means curing cancer and bringing about world peace. In fact, lock this jackass up just for exposing us to more of the Eagles. Just an awful, awful song.
"It is the theft of something that doesn't really exist, something that nobody before 200 yers ago would ever consider anybody could 'own': culture. 'Intellectual property'. Bah"
We're through the looking glass, people.
"Hey Boo. . "
Well said. The book is amazingly bleak and misanthropic. I think this is one of the rare cases where bringing down the subject matter makes the source material at least somewhat adaptable.
I think it comes across pretty clearly in the book that everything is a fantasy. Even in the movie, Patrick confesses as much and it's blatant when he's called out on the fabrications.
Exactly. Reproducing the violence alone would have made it impossible to film. I'd love to read the Oliver Stone version.
The first book was such a wonderfully realized departure from his style. The second was almost pure action and racing plot. The third was a brilliant melding of the two. They remain some of the best books I've read but after that he tried to replicate a style that he clearly had lost hold of. Despite the length of…
I've always thought One Hot Minute was underrated. 'Warped' is one of their best songs.
Ah! Here's the Steven King thread I was looking for. He was the first thing I thought of when I saw this article. He's one of my all time favorite authors but his failures are maddening. I can't think of a more epic train wreck than the 'Dark Tower' series. I will say that I've read some of his more recent work…
I remember Bag of Bones being the first King book I picked up after pretty much writing him off. I liked it but I'll be damned if I can recall what it's about.
I had a roommate in college who was a huge fan of anime. He showed me both 'Akira' and 'Ghost in the Shell' and while they had interesting aspects, I was never a fan of that type of genre after.
