Ordinary People was very, very good.  A film that's a bit overwrought but still punches you in the gut anyway.

'A Serious Man' is a film that despite watching numerous times, I don't really fully understand.  Yet, I'm strangely compelled by it, especially the brilliant ending.

Good call with Phantasm.  I'd throw Time Bandits in there, too.

All three albums are great.  'A Comet Appears' is a beautiful closing track.
