What about Snoopy Miller in Out of Sight?

Why a cheap shot?

I don't think I'll be reading that to any future children. It features one of the worst co-dependent relationships ever. The boy is a monster and the tree does neither the boy nor itself any favors.

angel and space: above and beyond
There are two that choke me up every time, guaranteed. Wesley on Angel is one, finally letting Illyria become Fred for him. The other is Vansen and Damphousse on the last episode of Space: Above and Beyond.

It amuses me how many people hate the word moist.

ana gasteyer
Am I the only one who has a crush on Ana Gasteyer? Aside from Betty White ripping it up last night, my favorite thing was getting to see her again.

Cocteau Twins and The Sundays are two of my all-time favorite groups. Still makes me sad that Dave Gavurin and Harriet Wheeler decided they couldn't record music, at least very occasionally, while raising a family.

Ah, Chuck Bucks. Preacher was, to too great an extent, a load of sophomoric bullshit from some guy who clearly fell in love with Tarantino.

ivy
Yes.

Kyle, I've got your back on New Order.

Maybe they could so a special sweeps crossover of Bitch Hunter and MILF Island.

ennis
So. Garth Ennis continuing his mediocrity, eh?

Oh boy, that didn't work for me at all. But then 30 Rock, at least with regards to The AV Club and its commenters, has turned into a weekly Rorschach test for what's funny or not.

the impostors
It's sad that The Impostors is this little lost movie. It's flawed and it never fully lives up to the brilliance of its first scene, but it's such a funny film. And Platt and Tucci really are brilliant together.

I was just trying to say that Born Standing Up seems to have been the recent gold standard for stand-up memoirs, yet even that, while not a bad book, seemed to have no compelling reason to have been written and published. I never felt like it really justified its existence. The Bedwetter sounds like it doesn't have

i'm sorry
Did you say FIVE memoirs? Five? Jesus H.

i like silverman . . .
. . . but I'm not sure I'm interested in this. Isn't the memoir thing too played out by now? Even Steve Martin's Born Standing Up, basically considered the best recent stand-up memoir, left me feeling somewhat unsatisfied. I just didn't feel there was enough there to recommend it beyond a liking

The AV Club Phrase Book
Among the phrases I need to start working into conversation semi-regularly: "tee-hee-tutu gags."

thundarr
Fond, fond memories of Thundarr the Barbarian. Or at least fond memories of memories, since I don't recall much about the show other than really liking it as a kid. Glad it, um, kind of holds up? At least in comparison to other 80s Saturday morning dreck.

wait a second
Didn't the blond dude die at the end of Serenity?
