The room full o' gore that she never actually went into was great too.

Yeah…House of the Devil and The Innkeepers were both pretty brilliant, though Innkeepers was the only one of the two that actually scared me.  Ti West is really good at setting the stage with mundane details and conversation, then slowly turning up the horror.

Yeah, Dead Silence was totally goofy, but fun.  I saw it in the theater as well, and was laughing at a couple of parts.

"Don't you have a right to choose your supervillain?"
"Maybe, but you're just Pacific Gas & Electro in disguise, and want us to bog down all of the other villains with bureaucracy."
"Nonsense!  I'm just a concerned citizen who wants you to be able to make an informed choice."

His mom bought him an awesome armored suit, but dad got pissed about the cost giving away his supervillain status, tried to return it then set fire to it in an abandoned parking lot.
