Your final statement is fucking terrifying because lots of people, I'm not saying you, but LOTS of people apply that same logic unilaterally to support their own personal biases against minorities accused of crimes and it's a completely fucking terrifying world to live in.

"Motherfuckers are out for blood" is not the kind of society I want to live in. Conversely, women being afraid to report these crimes is also not the kind of society I want to live in. I refuse to believe that it makes me a shitty or insenstive person for striving to find a middle ground between the two.

Other than being accused, what did Dr. Luke do to make you personally believe that he is guilty?

But it does happen. The concept of "statistically, you are probably guilty, so it's ok for me to label you as such" is terrifying to me. Do you really want to live in a country where we condemn first and ask questions later…or maybe not at all? I understand that rape culture/victim shaming is an awful epidemic and it

I think everyone is underplaying "public ridicule" and acting like it means nothing. Personally, I would 100% rather be dead than have the majority of the population falsely believe that I am a rapist.

I want to ask a serious question. I'm not trying to be insensitive. I'm not trying to be an internet troll. I'm just trying to understand this culture of convicting people of heinous crimes in the court of public opinion without any evidence.

He's got the whole shaft in his hands.

The frustrating thing about this case is there are only two sides to take and they are both extreme. The popular one is lets believe Kesha, despite not having any actual evidence, because rape culture, victim shaming, etc. is such a plague on America. Because so many sexual assaults go unreported, it's totally valid

Now That's What I Call HBO Volume: March

I'm on board if this gets Daniel Day-Lewis active in the AV Club comments section.

It'd have to be Macaulay Culkin. I too peaked at age 12.

Are there any New No-No's?

I'd like to hear Paul Anka do a lounge album about The Sopranos..

Is Robert Deniro going to become the new Betty White? Do I have to spend the next decade pretending the gross things he's saying are actually funny because he's old?

This band is incredible live.

Ahh here it FandanGOES….

I love this song entirely because the music video that the Muppet Babies made for it ran constantly on Nickelodeon when I was little.

James Ponsoldt is my favorite director to emerge from the last few years. Everything he does is excellent.

I didn't know you could access the AV Club from Bill's PC….

10 million smackeroos?! Sounds like Sean Penn is really MILKin' Lee Daniels for all he's worth.
