@Sherm Churlish

I agree. While the "Kill Bill" trailer was nearly the most awesome thing I had ever seen before, this trailer is really terrible. I'm doubting I'll even bother to see this one in the theatre.

On the contrary, most of the hate directed towards "Death Proof" is directed towards:

I saw "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" on funny fungi. It was truly terrifying.

Au contraire … it's ALL of AV Club's readership.

I call it "Riding in Cars with Boys on the Side". That way I can pretend there is one less shitty Drew Barrymore flick in the world.

I rented this flick back in 1994, mostly because I had really enjoyed "Drugstore Cowboy" and "My Own Private Idaho". I shut it off at the point where the cowgirls are menacing John Hurt with their vaginas.

Personally, I think A LOT of mediocre books have made into good movies. Too many to count.

New Line ceased to exist … but they had several movies in the can which WB are releasing.

Same here … never watched a minute of that crap, never will.

John Milius, the real life Walter has done far greater stuff than "Red Dawn". To see some real insight into where Walter's coming from, watch the flick "Big Wednesday". It's his most personal film.

I've seen "The Tender Trap".

@professional music guy

Hartley's star has fallen quite a bit largely because the movies he's been making recently aren't really very good at all.

You do realize that she DID NOT kidnap herself?

I've always thought that the whole bit about the Knudsens is a sly reference to "Taxi Driver" and the letter from Mr. & Mrs. Steensma at the end of that flick.

@Advice Man

I-D-I-O-T spells Christmas!!!

Seems like many folks are missing the point
It's not about people you NEVER liked.
