So glad this movie got a write-up. The film is far from perfect - I'm not a fan of the extra-ambiguous ending, which nonetheless worked great for "Henry Fool". But I love the way Hartley constructs his characters. Especially those who just appear out of nowhere, and seem to have been bitter and lonely for eternity

Haha, yeah, I think didn't quite negate the facts so much as posit that all Henry Fool's obvious bullshit was actually completely true. I thought the outwardly thriller elements were a little cheesy, but I loved the character interaction. All those guys have such great chemistry. Extra Goldblum didn't hurt

What a great film. Haven't seen it since its first release in the states, but I remember feeling more entertained and satisfied than I had been in a while. I particularly enjoyed Jonathan Demme staple Paul Lazar as the Evil American

Michael Ian Black was actually a really creative and fun sci fi flick, with snappy dialogue and energetic performances.

Julian Glover was pretty kickass in that Bond movie he was in.

C'mon, that movie had its flaws, but it also had psychotic-silent Walken before Walken became a joke

Michael Keaton secretly watched this

I'm a huge fan of the picture layout this time around.

Whaddaya mean nobody remembers Jack Nicholson??

It's for the greater good

Even though I've seen the movie a dozen times, I forget the "nice ride" part. Maybe it's because I mentally check out after Batman goes "CAN YOU DRIVE STICK?" But I just want to make sure we're not talking about the classy mofo Rade Serbedzija, who cameos the "nice coat" bum

He should have brought the brewskis

I remember a scene in which Neil Patrick Harris caves a guy's head in from the sides, making green brain goo gush out his ears.

Also wonderfully batshit insane.

Rewatched Monkeybone a couple months ago. The animation and production design *is* incredible. Giancarlo Esposito and Bob Odenkirk pop up, so you get to play that pre-"Breaking Bad" role game. Also, I cruised through the deleted scenes, and you can really tell the studio chopped it up pretty badly. There's definitely

I will see it, begrudgingly. All I ask is that it has (a) Bonnie Bedelia an (b) a villain - both of which Die Hard 5 failed to provide.

Are we talking a Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich scenario, except on a Kevin Smith set?

My Simpsons knowledge is a little sketchy, just because there are episodes I'd seen once on TV while falling asleep. I often confuse "Lisa's Wedding" and "Bart to the Future", only because of the future plotline. But consensus states that the former is great/very good, while the latter is kinda crappy. I only remember

Nucky Thompson: Cleveland Steamer Vacation!

Batman's a scientist
