Because as good as the Undertones and Dictators and Dead Boys, etc.. were, they were also unimportant. Lotsa people like them but Big Star started as many bands as the Sex Pistols.

I won't argue with you and I hate smooth jazz, but I watched this again recently and it struck me again as really cool. But maybe you like Limp Bizness, Nicklebacks, or Sum911 or something, so what ever floats your dinghy.

I love this movie and have it stored on my dvr hard drive. What a heartbreak to lose Tupac. This movie made me go from fear of a gangsta rapper to wanting to hang out with a junkie. Plus the music that he *makes* with Roth and Newton is fantastic.
