I'm wondering in what TV-drama universe exposition might be considered a virtue.

The lack of white walkers doesn't bother me as much as everyone always saying "Winter Is Coming". Yeah, yeah- if it isn't coming this season shut the fuck up about it already.

I rewatched season 1 after identifying fruit as a potential death omen and caught the same thing happening just before a known assassination attempt- Dany in the marketplace by the wine merchant (which was actually much more subtle). So I was keyed into both fruit and vendors holding out fruit when I rewatched Tyrion

I guess you are right that the CGI was excellent because only at one point did I even notice it- when Stannis took the top off some guy's head.

Yeah I just watched that scene a few times he does back up a little and just as after the sword comes down his head is tilted back. I could buy that he survived but that itty-bitty scratch just isn't adequate- in order to cut his face on both sides the sword would have to have taken out the bridge of his nose.

EvelKareebel: That's correct I think Sansa drinking wine wasn't anything. Because nothing happened- that's my point. Lots of things could have happened, like Shae getting outed, Sansa leaving with the Hound and someone drinking poison- but none of it did.

Hmm… well, since they were mentally travelling back in time most likely the fruit-death-effect would also reach back in time, killing them in the past thus resulting in their present selves suddenly vanishing into thin air because they no longer exist.

Spenser Davis: Yes, exactly my point as well. Intercutting scenes of a completely different nature such as verbal bantering and brain spattering does not work well. Now if you had some dudes talking graphically about battle and intercut that with battle scenes that would work. But "Well, my little dove did you so and
