The whole Nite Jewel album has a lot of character, but the title track warrants mention as being exceptional. It has an atonal tension at times that's not for everyone but which I thought added just the right amount of twisted Liars-esque ambiance.

I miss a lot of the pure sonic experimentation from the last Lotus Plaza album, but the songs became more gripping and fully formed this time around. I wish the run-time had been ~20% longer, but less overall product might've been a necessary sacrifice in exchange for more developed songs individually - although not

Orange line is the creepiest because you're always travelling to a scary place, but the Green line is sadder in that there is no hope for it to get better. There's a century of crowded urban infrastructure boxing it into the winding, branched configuration it's always existed in, so there's no way to make it any less

I was first exposed to Clinic ("Walking With Thee") in the early 2000s through a Letterman performance, so I think he's been making adventurous decisions about his musical guests for a while.

I've been praying for Andy to fatally contract tetanus ever since he married April. He's a drain on society who can't comprehend the lengths the people around him go to just to keep him functioning.

Funny people shouldn't get to be happy, let alone be engaged to each other.

She was a third wheel lacking in self-awareness for most of it, which made her pretty annoying. The Tammy fight afterwards helped her break even for the day, though.
