I like the cover more, though I love both.  I think I prefer it because Nancy & Lee sound (purposefully?) like they're stuffed to the gills with downers, which gives their version a very different tone.

I had almost the exact opposite reaction, @avclub-09dbda0ec297f8e1fb8fa397efd0f70a:disqus,  excluding Parts 2 and 3.  I loved 1 and 5, but found 4 to be a bit of a grind; not because of the subject matter - gore doesn't faze me in the least - but because of the constant repetition of similar facts and circumstances,

Hyperion is great; the plot moves quickly, with the perfect amount of explication, and the character development is some of the strongest I've seen in sci-fi.  You'll probably find yourself making time soon for the next one.
