I made it all the way through it but just barely. He was easily the worst guest they've ever had.

I listened to Bullseye for the first time a few months ago and was entertained enough to give Jordan Jesse Go a shot and I wish I could unhear it. It was so bad/no for me it made me not really care too much for Jesse Thorn in general.

At what point did they decide that overheards was the only segment they would do? Aside from drunk dials it's the only one they seem to do.

Forgive me if this was discussed elsewhere but has anyone watched that streaming episode of Comedy Bang Bang? I thought it was just barely ok. Mostly saved from being a total waste of time by Don Dimelo's appearance and even that contained nothing we haven't heard before.

I agree. Overheards are just one (generally hit or miss) part of the show usually buried about a half hour in…I believe last week (I'm too lazy to check) we were advised to skip ahead to the overheards because there was no guest but I tune in for the banter which is always just fine whether there is a guest or not.

That show is hilarious but it gets very little love here. I have no idea what expectations the reviewer here brings to the table but they are apparently never met.Maybe he or she should pass the reviewing duties off to someone who actually enjoys the show.

I agree on The Conformist and Last Emperor and I'd add this one. I've been meaning to watch La Luna forever but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I thought of another classic scene: slaughtering the hogs; and the aforementioned spinning the child into the wall.

Classic scenes: Donald Sutherland headbutting that cat; the simultaneous hand jobs; Lancaster being milked by the little girl (and then if I'm not mistaken SPOILER ALERT hanging himself with a chain); farm animals shitting in peasants' hands;  yep I think those are all of the most memorable moments in this. Oh wait.

I've been wondering the same. Is there another, perhaps better weekly podcast roundup? This one has been losing steam for a while now and I find it pretty infrequent that I agree with the reviewers' opinions. I thought that this week's Comedy Bang Bang was totally weak but there it is among the "best".

The mono mix was made for and distributed to AM radio stations. And I think Brazil might have gotten the mono as well. They got a mono release of McCartney's first album in 1970.
