Well, I thought it was going to be a burden when I was elected to the position, but when I realized no one says anything of importance, it really became a pretty easy job.

I really enjoyed how everyone's kneejerk reaction after X&Y was to say how wussy Coldplay were, and then Viva came out and everyone had to bend over backwards to admit, "Yeah, that's actually a really good album." Still holds up, too.
The first time I heard "Yellow" was in a promo for some ABC TV show that summer it came out and I remember thinking, "Man, that's gonna be big." Which is not to say I thought it was a brilliant song, only that it's the kind of simple, emotional melody that is built for longevity.
To be honest, what I've heard from Ghost Stories so far has left me a little cold, so I'm cautiously optimistic. I'd rather they go for bombast and fail then go back to the safe ground of X&Y (which is my least favorite of their albums mostly because it's so samey).
I would bet an informal (and anonymous) survey of the AV Club would show more people liking them than hating them, but they're an easy target for ridicule so it's mostly just the haters who show up to these kind of articles.
It's the fact that I'm not new here which makes that sentence pretty much the most punk rock thing I could type.
Is she keeping those eyes and nose in a jar somewhere, cos they're certainly not on her face.
Coldplay's a pretty good band with some solid albums.
So, wait, the vaguely ethnic looking girl is supposed to be the daughter of Corey and Topanga, not the very white girl next to them?
Well, we've now heard from the whiny baby contingent of the internet.
I assume you meant to type "getting me off."
That's probably the only thing he and I have in common.
That was my favorite Gabriel Garcia Marquez opening line, too.
Isn't that kind of the lesson everyone in their 20s has to learn, though?
This is a pretty interesting read. I kind of feel like everyone will love at least one of the songs he's written, even if they absolutely hate another one by him. And that's a fascinating career to have.
Limi, you seem like a very angry and unhappy person. The kind of person who, say, hypothetically, if someone wanted to troll into a long-winded argument, it would be pretty easy. But that's just me being all pop-psychologist, again.
You must be a pretty big fan of me to notice all the guest likes I get. I don't even bother to look at that stuff. I wonder if you aren't the one who created the fake profile copying mine to obsessively troll people.
"I'm gonna give you five seconds to turn around and run away, alright, before I impregnate you with my foot up your ass."
I've never thought Fallon's monologues were great or terrible, just meh, but I have to admit his joke about the World Cup moving actually had me laughing pretty hard.
I'm not suggesting that at all. The only reason I brought up his success was because someone claimed I was him (as a joke, I get that, but still). I was merely commenting on the joke.
