Fair enough - Moore is not a great writer.

Come on, Slough. Your are trolling just a bit, aren't you? You are clearly a smart person and you don't really need this excerpt explained.

I always liked "'Round Midnight" with Dexter Gordon. That might not be obscure enough for what you are looking for, but it is an interesting, flawed movie that I hear few people ever talk about.

I just wanted to say that I think this new column seems like a great idea.

Nathan, I wanted to like this film, but [SPOILERS!]
I did not think it was informative, entertaining, thought provoking, or terribly memorable.

Obviously, Nosferatu and Let the Right One In are contenders for "best vampire movie." Um, all you "Blade 2" prentenders, step off. Lost Boys does NOT hold up. Near Dark is pretty impressive.
