I actually feel that way about Misfits, which is one of my favorite shows on TV these days (even though the quality has slid a bit lately).  Tried a few eps of Alphas S1 and couldn't get into it.

For a similar reason as @avclub-13d7df3c17502af69aafccc758195f96:disqus , I'm going to go with Firefly.  Carnivale couldn't wrap things up with just one more season.  I only watched the first season of Deadwood and didn't like it enough to continue into S2.
