But didn't you say up-thread that you've never seen a full episode?

Once again, the comment threads on these articles always irritate me. It's just 38410424 people talking about how they never liked Friends instead of actual meaningful discussion of the points in the article.

This article is so white. It was still a good read, but it's a good example of how stuff that young white guys like is determined to be the defining work of a generation.

I never said "Youre just jealous". You can hate the show all you want, nobody's stopping you. But popular shows do receive more hate simply because there's more people who've heard of them. If you make a piece of crap show that only runs for half a season, nobody will remember it to heap hate on. If the show becomes

I think the hate for Friends is purely because it was popular. That's it. There are a lot of other shows which are at the same level of Friends that don't receive the hate because they weren't as popular. That and hating Friends makes some people think that they sound smart.

I read the headline and legit thought that Macaulay Culkin died.

I wouldn't say that. For starters Parkinson's usually starts in the 50s and 60s (or earlier, look at Michael J. Fox) and most people have all their faculties at that age.

If they treat it like their other shows by obscure comedians it'll air at like 1 am until they cancel it halfway through the season, at which point they'll air the rest of the episodes at 4:37 am on Sundays.

Okay yeah blatantly obvious stuff like that but I was talking about shows aimed at adults.

To a small degree maybe but I think it also depends on where you're from. For example on another site I"m a member of, a lot of the immigrant /non-American members (especially those from non-Western countries) love The Big Bang Theory and Friends (not that those 2 shows are of the same quality) but aren't huge fans of

I'm not surprised Game of Thrones is so popularly torrented, since most people don't have HBO, yet it's still extremely popular. Anyway, re: The Big Bang Theory, even though I'm not a huge fan, the hatred of it kind of rubs me the wrong way. It always seems to devolve into "We're better than you idiots who like it,

I would still say that Will Smith's fairly popular. I mean After Earth didn't do well but it was truly horrible (that and it was blatantly a star vehicle for his talentless son).

Idk, but I know on a lot of those network websites they either only have one episode available or they make you sign in with your cable provider. Or it runs really slow, so slow that they might as well not have a website.

I know for me, I sort of defend it because hating TBBT is almost cliche now. Like we get it, you don't like the show. I'm not a huge fan of it either but it gets tiring that every article that remotely mentions it has to have 100 people patting themselves on the back for not liking TBBT. Also it got tiring to see the

Do you want a cookie for that? (Seriously, it irritates me to no end when people comment about how they've never heard of X. THat adds nothing to the discussion).

I don't think it will, since you can find huge parts of most episodes on YouTube.

I totally agree. Also is it just me or did a lot of 80s-90s Young Adult stuff (especially "Slice of Life" type stuff) seem really old-fashioned? Like I remember a book that took place in the late 80s where the characters were shocked at someone being divorced, and another where it was a big deal that the girl's mom

I read it. It was ok but I felt like someone told the author "Hey, you need to stretch this out into a trilogy", so they left out a bunch of stuff from the book in order to make it 3 books. Like the other commenter says, you never learn anything about anything.

I read it in 5th grade but for fun, I never had to read it for school. In fact I'm surprised that so many people here had to read it for school. So it's totally believable that they would've read it in high school.

I'm assuming it's people who don't have TV's or something like that?
