I think dropping the nuke on white people might be the bigger factor.   Considering they were fine with nuking the hell out of the desert in the USA, I don't think the target being on the mainland of a continent would be a big deal.

You probably were taught that in history class, but was that in the USA?   Ask most Americans about the war and probably a quarter would forget the the Russians were involved and up to half would be likely to think that they were on the German side (they are all "bad guys" right?).

Interesting.   I taught at a magnet school in East LA for a couple of years and I was surprised that the worst racism that I saw was generally by Latinos (mostly Mexcian) against Asian students.
