I thought Labor Day was another one of those ensemble cast holiday movies like New Year's Eve and Arbor Day. Are these still a thing?

Disqus doesn't recognize my AV Club account as an official Disqus account. So I'm gonna have to make another account via Disqus, hopefully do all my settings there, and then link it to the AV Club. Somebody told me to do this a couple days ago but I'm just lazy.

I'm totally with you on Orange Rhyming Dictionary. The other to JTB albums are great too, but the first one is so good that it renders everything that came afterwards as an afterthought.

If you use Windows, Xbox 360 controllers are the obvious choice. They work extremely well with almost every console emulator.

Truly we've been spending our resources fighting the wrong terrorists.

Nope, didn't help. When I click on my avatar, I get the popup window, but no "Edit Profile" button like you describe.

It was weird that I got banned for saying what I did (won't repeat it, obviously), because I'm pretty sure I've said far more outrageous and blasphemous shit on this very site. As far as I know, I've never even had a post deleted.

Downvoted on principle.

Then switch to hard liquor!

A young girl journeys with her family across the western frontier to a new land. A pioneer amongst a noble group trusted with expanding America's borders under the righteous name of God. But along the way, she falls for a Mexican man and she has to make an important choice: Love, or Country?

I think we've taken '90s nostalgia to its breaking limit. We gotta move on to a new decade.

It's because I'm so good looking. VanDerWerff got jealous.

I'll give Matchbox 20 this: "Unwell" was probably the best deployment of banjo in recent pop music. That was a pretty awesome banjo riff.

Oh, it holds up perfectly fine after three or seventeen beers.

My grandma's turtle bit her, and she later died of salmonella poisoning. Why must you mock my grandmother so?

"Power Of Love." No question. How are you gonna argue with that '80s sax?

Can somebody teach me how to change my damn avatar?

And then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret Of The Ooze falls perfectly in "so bad it's good" territory.

A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat on a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.
