All that was really known was that there was a tablet for Leviathans and demons, this made it official that there are more out there.

And then after the Leviathan thing, he realized that all his resurrections were clearly a form of punishment.

Well, that's kind of how they've always operated. The first two or three episodes deal with the mythology, then a few MOTW, then a mythology or two, and so on and so forth.

This was a really solid episode, there's not much to say really. Well, other than the Purgatory stuff, now that the flashbacks seem to be over with, you gotta come to the conclusion that they've been fairly disappointing. I know the show has a low budget, but they could have tried to do some more monster fighting

They've been better than season sevens ratings. It kinda sorta doesn't matter too much, since the current CW president is apparently a big fan of the show, so as long as he's in charge they'll make it to Carver's season ten end game.

It's how they've always done it, the first two episodes deal with the mythology  and then there are three or four MOTW ones, and then back to to mythology. The season just goes through that cycle until the last handful, which tend to be mythology eps.

I don't know, maybe I'm a weirdo but, I seem to be in the minority that doesn't think Amelia is horrible. Sure she really hasn't been given much, but surely down the road she'll get her own episode to shine like Benny did.

I liked that they finally had Sam call out Dean on his hypocrisy, even though that conversation didn't last long.
