Count me among the straight guys who are glad the show hasn't shown a copious amount of dude on dude action.

The problem is that most of the stuff that made WD shitty in its first season is the stuff we're going to be seeing more of if they cut the budget. More stupid characters having dumb conversations. More boring scenes of people not getting attacked by zombies. The cool shit was the makeup and the violence. Without…
I'm going to agree with ZMF here. Game of Thrones and Justified are fucking amazing shows. I did catch up on Breaking Bad on DVD, so I get that this season might just seem slower, but sheesh. It has been fairly boring of late. Being boring in the first half of season one was one thing: the show had to lay out its…
Pending Cancellation?
I read in an interview with the showrunner that season 2 would resolve this mystery, and also contain a second mystery. I'm assuming they will spend the first few episodes wrapping up this investigation while planting seeds for the next mystery that they plan to spend the bulk of season 2 on.
Boo
Rubicon and Terriers (I know—different network). The world of cable TV is not fair. Or a meritocracy.
The pilot was pretty awesome. It has gone downhill from there. The pilot made it seem like it wold be a cross between Silence of the Lambs, Twin Peaks, etc. By the end of the third episode I was hoping that it wold be as good as Damages. At this point, I am just hoping that they end the current mystery in the finale…
January Jones is most certainly NOT a good actress. Anyone saying otherwise is some sort of JJ or Mad Men apologist. It works as Betty on Mad Men because they write well for her one-note acting ability. In this film, she acts exactly the same as Betty, but she's playing a wildly different character. It is pretty sad.…
Ralph's anger??
Why was Ralph so pissed? He didn't even have a family member there. Is he that gay for his "friend"? What happens on the farm, stays on the farm…
Should say "I don't THINK the show…". My bad.
Nope. I disagree. I don't the show, in its current state (both Masters and regular) is much about interpersonal conflicts these days. Especially Masters. However, a show with just cooking would be boring, and exists in about 5000 forms on other networks. Even Iron Chef throws in the twist of mystery ingredients each…
I liked Restaurant Girl in this episode. Her banter was sufficiently witty. Although Gail is far sexier.
Yeah, how is that challenge hard? You just repeat the items over and over to yourself as a mantra in your head. What I really don't get is the dumbasses who raised symbols that weren't even shown. Getting the order wrong is one thing…
Umm, there's no way Matt has mentioned God/Jesus less than anyone has mentioned anything in the history of television. He's mentioned God about three times as many times as Probst has said the word "Survivor" (and yes, I'm counting the "previously on" and "next time on" intros and outros in that calculation).
China maybe?
In the books, the sexual relationship between Daenerys and Drogo is less rapey, I think. I mean, she is definitely married off against her will but I seem to recall him being sort of kind or gentle with her the first time. In the show it was just ripping of clothes and mounting.
To be fair, I don't think pedophilia as we know it today existed back then. After all, it was perfectly acceptable to bone and/or marry 13-year-olds.
On the Twin Peaks angle: someone probably mentioned this, but I just watched the Twin Peaks pilot on Netflix this weekend and the scene where Mitch learns of Rosie's death via the dropped cell phone and hearing her husband's reaction was clearly an homage to Twin Peaks where Mrs. Palmer learns of Laura's death in…
Sometimes it's hard to have a legitimate talk about anything without someone trying to shoehorn it into a talk about racism or sexism. And yes, taking everything waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too seriously, including themselves.
Haha. I kind of agree with you i and 1. I too hated Sarita at that point but she looked hotter during the duel and I momentarily regretted hating her so much. There has been a definite lack of hotness to the girls on this season.
Please stop being exactly right, you mean?
