The early-'80s cast tried to keep up with the originals in terms of drug use, and weren't able to do it. Tony Rosato was glad when he got fired in '82 because he thought he might die at SNL. Since the mid-80s, other than some notable exceptions (Chris Farley, Darrell Hammond), there haven't been many drugs.

It's the bar from New Girl, right?

On the one hand, it's nice to see the guy getting work. On the other, he was third-lead in Fist Fight, which I just saw, and gave a mumbling, dead-eyed performance that was a little cringey.

Also cautiously optimistic, but this whole thing screams "straight-to-VOD / Redbox"

ID is Investigation Discovery, and it has tons of women-focused programming: Bad Teachers, Beauty Queen Murders, Deadly Women, Evil Stepmothers, Killer Women, Monsters: When Mom Goes Bad, Wives with Knives, Women in Prison…

Nine episodes gets them to May sweeps, and traditional season-finale territory. Son of Zorn didn't do a great job of holding the Simpsons' ratings. How much longer can Last Man on Earth go? I'd say this has a chance. Slim chance, but a chance.

Same. I'll watch the next one. After that, we'll see.

Fey doesn't belong on that list (no sketch versatility), but I'm with you otherwise.

Did Vanessa Bayer get some work done during the hiatus? Something about her eyes and nose looked…different, especially in the arbitration sketch and Weekend Update.

Also, he sounds a bit like Forrest when he talks.

Jeff Sessions is from Alabama. Forrest Gump is from Alabama. And they would be about the same age. Comedy gold!

There may be some hope the ratings will spike as people tune in to see Paxton's final performances.

She's on New Girl now.

Yeah, it's definitely time for him to go. Every long-tenured cast member has that season where the writers aren't writing stuff for them anymore, and they just kinda stop showing up in sketches. And then they leave.

The '70s generation of comedians hated the whole Rat Pack thing and made fun of it, but tons of them (Billy Crystal, Martin Short, Bill Murray) LOVED Sammy Davis, Jr.

Ready to feel old? "Everlong" turns 20 this year.

I grew up in one of the towns where they filmed Twister. Paxton was a cool dude. He'd go eat lunch in the local restaurants instead of craft service, and he'd hit up the only decent bar in town some nights, too. Helen Hunt got car service to and from a luxury hotel in Oklahoma City, from what I heard. Nobody ever saw

Barry Pepper, gettin' work!
Between this and Monster Trucks, it's gonna be a big 2017 for ol' Mr. Pepper!

No idea; you can find recipes online to approximate what the restaurants serve, and they all simply say "cubed turtle meat."

You can still get turtle soup in nicer New Orleans restaurants, but that's the only place in the US I've ever seen it on the menu.
