This is EXACTLY the kind of terrible movie that Jennifer Garner usually finds herself in. I'm amazed she's not playing the Carla Gugino part.

I quit watching when it left Fox, so question for the die-hard fans: how much longer can the show go, realistically? Is it currently set up such that Mindy could be cycling through boyfriends deep into her '40s?

We're sure Odd Couple is done, right? It won't end up as Rules of Engagement / Mike and Molly-style scheduling spackle for two or three more years?

Not that coincidental, I'd bet. From what I read, MTM's friends and family (and I'm sure management) have known she was declining for quite some time. If there's ever going to be a market for that DVD, it'll be around the time of her death.

Kind of buried the lede with that "romantic Lake Tahoe getaway," AV Club. How about: Aykroyd got some LSD from Tom Davis (of Franken and Davis fame) and then tripped balls for three days with Carrie Fisher at a palatial Lake Tahoe estate?

That's actually how he talks a good chunk of the time. Fast, and with lots of extraneous details.

By default, Bennett has basically become the lead male actor on the show.

And last season, Pharoah seemed much more interested in playing Ben Carson than he did Obama.

I'll give you Rob Schneider, but are Swardson and James really '90s holdovers? I guess King of Queens started in '98, but I don't really think of it as a '90s thing.
I guess what I'm saying is, I thought way too hard about this tossed-off joke.

Why aren't they Mighty Morphin' anymore?

Do you think the main guy's resume just says "poor man's Zac Efron"?

I was sure it would turn out the old Dutch lady was in Florida, but her hulking nephew was still in the house and would catch them ripping down the tree. I still think they have no clue what to do with Chale.

I'm liking the Mick so far, but not loving it. Can't imagine it getting a second season.

Similar premise? It's the exact same premise, except, you know, set in Tucson.

Also, Mikey was a writer before this year, and he did a solid for Lorne by appearing in that Maya and Marty show this summer (where he was head writer). He's built up enough goodwill to last another season.

That band was great. It's fitting that the SNL vintage earlier in the night featured the Blues Brothers, because that was the first band in awhile on SNL that looked like they could hang with the legendary Blues Brothers band musically.

I doubt it; Simpson and his band wore all-black the whole time.

I can't imagine Mooney surviving to be on the show next year, but then again, I said that last year, too.

Somewhat related: Does anyone know what happened to SNL reruns on cable? Comedy Central and Logo both stopped airing them on New Year's and I can find nothing online about what happened or why. No one else seems to be airing them either.

They did it for the Ronda Rousey show… it seems to show up for weaker female hosts, probably because they can restrict the host to 5- or 10-second bursts and then replace them with a cast member.
