The local liquor store had a pretty major sale a few weeks ago, so my apartment has about 6 months worth of booze in it.
"Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic: The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute. And then the murders began!"
Gatsby works better with the first two lines.
A spectre is haunting Europe — the spectre of communism. And then the murders began.
I'm fine if they save some money with this here. Also, having the monster appear mainly in PTSD flashbacks is a great way to increase its horror cred.

I'm pretty sure Nemesis just had 4 (plus pro/epilogue), but Babylon had a ridiculous number (like 7 in the first 9 chapters, or something like that).
Martian independence wasn't a war. (Background info from the books that probably isn't a real spoiler follows) Earth-Mars tensions were at Cuban missile crisis levels (Earth was sending over a very slow naval presence) when Epstein invented his drive. Mars took a moment to build up some way better ships, then…
I haven't read The Churn, but in Babylon's Ashes, Amos reveals that he's a regular with a particular working girl on Tycho. It's not love or anything; it's just that she's good at her job and seems like a nice person. He views his libido as something that occasionally needs to be dealt with, and is otherwise ignored.
It's such a perfect connection, given that Watney's self-sufficiency and survival in the face of tough odds would make him the perfect folk hero for the Martian culture of The Expanse.

It looks like someone's finally read my dating profile.
I want to watch an entire two act play's worth of that.
Oh damn, that would be a rough pill to swallow at the same time as he leans about Filip. I don't think she's given Fred the protomolecule yet, though. I'm thinking there's going to be some other prompt for that yet to come this season.
Given the level of biotech in the series, they could even make her a literal younger twin sister.
I suppose I could see Havelock take that role, though I'm not sure who they'd have replace him in season 4. I could also see them writing him out entirely and making a new character to play the role, given actor availability.
I'm more interested in how they deal with Pa in season 3 (and whether she drops off the radar…
No.
I'm not entirely sure what the chain of events was that led to the shooting there. I think the ships were shooting each other because of the jamming and confusion on the ground, but I'm not certain.
I'm going to guess that was either Mei or one of the other children.</spoilers>
Yeah, I'm hoping we haven't seen the last of him.
If they're doing that, I think they'll introduce Clarissa this season to establish her character a bit before she becomes important to the plot (like Bobbie and Avasarala).
