I really hope (assuming the show lasts that long) that they get Alex's callback to that line in book 5.

I'd say they're in the same position Avasarala was at the beginning of Season 1; not really connected to anything yet, since their book storyline haven't really started yet. That will change soon.

I think Killjoys moved from "greasy popcorn" to "fancy popcorn your neighbor's kid in Boy Scouts guilted you into buying" between seasons, which was a definite improvement. Fun stuff.

Speaking of Mass Effect, the protomolecule's takeover of the Blue Falcon is what I'd imagine a hanar orgy looks like.

In the books. "You can't take the razor back" was coming being broadcast over the chaotic audio feed from Eros, and it sounded like just more noise until Miller put it together.
As an Arkansas alum, I always get a kick out of the line (and may have been known to shout it during a football game or two).

Oh it's absolutely a good thing. It was a pretty common phrase on a number of other AVC recap threads (particularly Person of Interest), and I thought The Expanse had earned it.

Wait, it was? I don't remember Fred having a peace conference with Earth & Mars already

You might want to put some <spoiler> tags on that.

No. This was the conclusion of Book One.

A spoiler-ish comment that may allay your concerns, slightly. While the protomolecule does some things that don't make sense in the light of modern physics, everyone doesn't suddenly develop warp drives and anti-grav. Pretty much everything that the humans do is grounded in real physics.
There's probably one more

I think Avasarala's investigation into Holden last season (including visiting his parents) paid off with this; she had enough of an understanding of his sense of ideals to be willing to risk it. Johnson contacting the UN seems like a natural outgrowth of his off the record conversation with Avasarala earlier this

Much shortened version:

Arrg, and of course Disqus eats my long reply (been spending too much time out drinking with Kinja, I guess).

BOOK SPOILER THREAD

Shit, I just realized he was Escher from Continuum. I thought I recognized him.
Need to finish that show.

Oh yeah, that really needs to happen.

Thanks for the heads up. User blocked.

The Expanse has both of the authors actively involved in the writers' room, so that probably helps.

Alright, I think we've finally reached the point where The Expanse has earned the subtitle

Sea turtle was such an integral part of the local diet on the Cayman Islands that when hunting was banned, they opened a turtle farm. It's the only place in the world you can eat sea turtle soup/stew/steak without negatively impacting the wild population.
