Just for the record, Milo going on Maher wasn't what ruined his reputation. It was a group of conservatives dredging up his pedophilia comments to protest his presence at CPAC that did him in. Whatever else he may be owed, Maher doesn't deserve any credit for this.

Assuming he isn't working for May's Hydra.

If Hydra really is in charge of everything, I could see her being in the resistance.

Yeah, Daisy and Jemma didn't get reality altered for them (since Simmons certainly doesn't want to be a corpse).

I think it was just the people who had initially been uploaded who had things "corrected." If Jemma had been uploaded by AIDA, presumably she wouldn't be dead. Likewise, I don't think Daisy would have been w/ Ward if reality had been altered for her.

It's been on my list for a while. I think it's probably coming up next, once I finish the Southern Reach books.

I think they mentioned in the books that they fortified the structure to prevent that? Also, it spins at maybe 1/6 g.

Unless they completely change around the timing of the books, I don't see it. Filip should have been around 7-8 years old around the Eros incident if I got my timing correct.

I'd recommend reading them first. The show has made some changes, and I think a lot of them are actually improvements over the books. If nothing else, the first book has about one or two more episodes left in it, so you should definitely grab that soon.
Also, I really hope we can get a chance at a Dresden Files show

IIRC, the bomb timer was setup remotely by Naomi as a dead man's switch in case Miller was taken over by the protomolecule. Still, this gives it a fine excuse.

I wrote that on February 15.

True. On that note, Eros is almost certainly a lot less massive in the show than IRL, since it's been thoroughly mined and hollowed.

Very true; inertia is still a bitch.

Maybe the Nauvoo wasn't going particularly fast (yet) and it's run was supposed to survive the impact with Eros with enough structural integrity to keep the main fusion engines running?

I'd be very surprised if they didn't end with that scene. I could see reworking things so that some parts of Caliban's War (such as the ring launching) didn't happen until season 3, though.

I've read The Expanse, but not The Magicians. I don't think that would be great.

I thought when watching it that they were somehow walking on a sort of suspended catwalk/gantry that was "underneath" Eros, so the gravity would still work. Looking back though, I guess not.

I'm also offering $100,000 to anyone who can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Robert DeNiro has never fucked a horse.

You get creationists offering challenges like this all the time; they always either set bullshit standards that cannot be proven or constantly move the goalposts to avoid paying out. The objective of this is to give themselves a talking point while potentially distracting scientists from doing real, useful research.

The Expanse has always been pretty good about using the Earther/Martian/Belter distinctions as a proxy for modern racial/religious/ethnic/etc divisions. I think they really hit the nail on the head this time, with the lack of a personal face leading to widescale "othering."
