oh, it's cartoonish, definitely. i just don't think the show is aware of how silly it is. i can imagine the writers now. "how cool and edgy would it be if we had like four stabbing scenes in one episode? or how cool would it be if THE KID started killing animals?"
i don't know. i find myself enjoying the absurdity of this show without taking it seriously, but the violence (in this episode especially) is becoming so frequent and unnecessary that it's making me sick.
