I thought Sudekis was leaving, too? I'd much rather have Hader than him.

I wouldn't count out RNG. In addition to their talent and cuteness, they're reality show and competition veterans.

It's a shame that Shane Sparks had to go and be a sex offender. He was such an asset to both SYTYCD and ABDC.

I couldn't bring myself to watch this episode. I got as far as Lisa D'Amato showing up before I started fast-forwarding to the actual modeling.

I loved Phunk Phenomenon. They were kind of like Jungle Boogie with harder choreography and b-boying.

A good deal of that has to do with their admittance of crews that are more gimmick than skill these past few seasons, crews who end up derailing the show to some extent (AfroBoriké, ICONic Boyz, Street Kingdom, Saltare).

"Putting aside the fact that music videos are often harder to find than the Loch Ness Monster these days. . ."

I totally agree about Skylar being in line to take it. She's been flying under my radar, but the way she so effortlessly opened the show made me notice her.

*rolls eyes* She also delivers her songs in pretty much the same park-and-bark, open-eyes-wide style every time. I think the girl is really talented, but she's yet to learn how to deliver a nuanced performance on camera (on stage is a different thing entirely).

It's going to be a mash-up with "She Blinded Me with Science"

I agree completely.

Yeah, I think the most important thing to them is that the look is on point. Sharon had a fully realized character (and I think her decision to get volume from the hair and not a bolero was genius).

That tooth was so perfectly Jim Henson (cf. the witch in the Muppet version of the Frog Prince).

So they had two "black people's names sound like medication" jokes, and I laughed both times.

"'Rolling in the Deep' is like static to us singing competition devotees at this point, and I would find it extremely hard to imagine a rendition of it that was new without being gimmicky."

Little known fact: so did Wynonna Judd.

Tyra, for all her faults, is miles beyond Phi Phi in terms of both style and performance.

Say what you will about Erin Martin, but I enjoyed her performance more than Kim Yarbrough's, Karla Davis's, Pip's, or Tony Vincent's.

I am surprised that anyone can come off more unbalanced than Jiggly Caliente, but Phi Phi managed it somehow.

I lost it when she started talking to herself. "Interior Illusions Lounge. Those lemons are fake."
