I agree that some of the things they do are most likely ineffectual, but that just means we should be looking for better solutions, not cutting funding for the TSA simply because we haven't found our "reverse cowgirl" solution to air travel.

Nah, not a buzzkill at all. I'm a hybrid ironic/un-ironic fan of the show. I totally get what you're saying, and I, too, feel that inevitable disappointment when the person who should win doesn't win.

I agree about Elise. I also think she has the sense to stand her ground and make sure she's not compromising what makes her her (at least I hope she does).

If nothing else, I enjoyed the increasingly crappy gems offered for sale.
