Also partial to Cowboy Song, but don't know if that qualifies as "hit".

Godspeed, Patrice. :(

Ha! I'd love a reference to the art used in the story photo, if anyone knows. That's precisely the kind of funny kitsch a bondage perv might hang in their house.

Hehe, me too. I'm not a big SNL watcher anymore, so I found that bit fun.

So I think what we're all trying to say here is that his analogy is super-effective, which is the hallmark of good writing.

Ugh. That's a weapons-grade comment right now. I've never heard of Boku no Pico, but your comment, which I'm certain is appropriately inappropriate, made sure it stays on my, "Never view this" list.

Straw Men are the best kind of monsters to face, because they catch fire so easily.

Stuff your mouth with some caramel popcorn and a packet of pop-rocks. Probably the same experience.

C'mon, you know the score there; "With us, or against us". If you aren't carrying their water wherever you go, you're just a "libtard".

Gonna run out of reagents, Archmage.

I had a teacher in school who would, without fail, interrupt somebody whenever they used that word/phrase and state matter of factly, "A lot's a piece of land". Not sure what he was arguing for there. That "a lot" shouldn't be used at all? But it's so ubiquitous!

It was bad timing on your part. That's the first ice cream segment he's done in months, basically. And he's only doing them now, because Ben & Jerry essentially went on Fallon's show and complained that Colbert wasn't pimping his flavor enough on his show, so he had to respond.

I've always felt Colbert's interviewing has been his biggest weakness, as you've noted. He's often so intent on doing his Colbert-schtick, he overestimates his interviewees ability to deal with "him".

I always liked Heavy D, even if I didn't own any of his albums. Sad to hear about this news.

Which is why I don't get the surfeit of, "Murphy is Back!"-type headlines regarding this movie. Back? Dude never went anywhere, he's just been making shit-tastic films for years.

Wait, didn't Murphy already try that, 'genre-film stuffed with a who's-who of black comedy talent' gambit years ago with Harlem Nights?
