I do like that album, very much so, but to me it is only 90% as great as his other albums.
My point was that when I think of the Cold Vein, Funcrusher+, or Fantastic damage I don't play them for their melodic content, and I'm guessing most other fans don't either.
What I always like about El-P's production was the way

Sarcasm?
"El-P's production often busies itself as much with melody as with harsh percussion and enveloping shadows"
You could make a case for this on "I'll sleep…" but his other albums, you know the great ones, do not really go for the melodic thing so much.

What I like about this storyline is that you believe the motivations George has for saying all these outrageous lies. His underlying needy characterization makes this standard sitcom capering all the more funny.

Does anyone actually think Kramer's world view is wacky? He's basically an optimist, unless you are referring to his advocacy of reckless public urination.

Is this an actual news report or some kind of lame Brasseye knock-off?

Not to encourage your pretentiousness, but what exactly did watching "Nostalgia" change about the way you saw film?

Never heard of this before
Articles and reviews like this are why I keep coming back to the AV Club, I will definitely be checking this out.

I don't understand the point of calling a TV show manipulative. Surely any TV show is going to manipulate the viewer if it is any good?
You might have a point about Jurassic Bark being treacly or pointless, were it not based on a true story. Perhaps the song they used at the end was a bit too much.

Obvious trolling aside:
If you want to argue that the Simpsons has been a better show than Futurama then that's fine, but your reasoning needs strengthening.
There are plenty of standalone episodes of Futurama that not only need no knowledge of references but also stand up better than many Simpsons episodes in terms of

Is Time Trumpet worth buying? I missed it when it was broadcast (and I doubt it will be shown again). It sounded like it was focused on celebrity lampooning, which always seems like a weak area of comedy for me.
Thats why I preferred The Day Today's higher ratio of absurd humour over Brasseye's forced celebrity bating

From the interview I just dug up:
"My computer? I never use a computer. It's too easy. It's not easy to sound like Dilla, but you can make beats like Dilla with your computer, so that's why everyone sounds like Dilla"
and also this:
"I'm using the cheapest equipment I can find, to show that you don't need to use all that

Sweet, I heard that #5 comes with a mini Loopdigga comic book adventure. I also have not heard Oh No's Ethiopium but I loved his Exodus album.
Shame that Stones Throw albums are always so pricey, and also that they are so stringent at taking down any FLAC rips of their albums.

Madlib does not use any type of computer processing in his production, according to his interview in the Wire he does not even own a computer, so maybe he would not get on well with Lotus who makes a lot of use out of digital sampling/recording. But I don't think they have much to share with each other.

Medicine Show
Haven't picked up any of these yet from lack of funds. To anyone who's heard them: Do they rate as highly as the beat konducta series? Are the mixtapes worth buying?

Not to say your list is not a good selection or anything, but I don't think anyone getting in to Madlib is really bothered with accessibility.
This is one of the few gateways that I agree with, if you do not like The Unseen after a few plays then Madlib probably won't win you over (you'd also be crazy).

"I expressed how wary I was of movies and profiles that detail the soldier's life without the overall context of a war"
I'd love to see a film like this, documentary or otherwise. Objectivity relies not only on showing what it is like for both sides, but also the time span shown. The effects of an invading force on any
