Damnit, I can't remember the last thing he says. What was it? It's been a few years since my last viewing.

I saw them a few weeks ago for the first time ever. They played quite a bit of Bleed American (5 songs?) but no Clarity. :-/
Fair enough. I can see it a little bit better now after this post and a few others like it. Don yelling through the door still is hard for me to stomach, though. On the other hand, it was a calculated risk vs the alternative risk of saying nothing to Sally and letting her plan to blow the whistle rather than…
Maybe she just got the cat to kill mice. :-) She gave it the most indifferent look ever when it was on the couch next to her. I would think a Cat Lady™ would show the opposite of indifference toward her cat.
True, but I was more referring to the point that Megan could have easily heard Don since he was talking loud enough to be heard through a closed door, and Megan was on the same side of the door as him.
You're not supposed to do anything. It's entertainment. If you think it sucks, I'd recommend trying something different.
On top of that… Pete made homophobic remarks not 10 seconds before Bob hit on him. Bob is not that stupid.
Bob's move made zero sense. He's proven himself as a smart guy. So why would he come out (and on) to Pete about 10 seconds after Pete makes homophobic remarks about Manolo? Furthermore… didn't Bob buy Pete a (female) hooker? So he knows his chances are pretty much zero?
Yeah, and Gob never said "CMON!" once (he did say the word but in a weird whiney stuttery tone of voice)… and nobody did a goddamn chicken dance (though at one point I thought George Maharis was about to, which would have been weird since he did NOT ever do one in the first 3 seasons).
I agree they're not that similar, but Cersei does value practicality over revenge even in spite of her sinister nature. She voted to keep Ned alive, and I think she would also trade Ned for her children if she was in such a position (the same thing Catelyn tried to do with Jaime).
Glad to hear it. I'm catching up on the books, somewhere in the middle of book 2 now, and partially scared that once I get "ahead" of the show I won't be affected by the surprises anymore, but I also know that's bullshit. I read all of LOTR before the films and was still blown away by how accurately it was adapted…
I didn't say anything about "forgetting it's a story." I'm talking about not making a conscious effort to (a) find symbols or (b) guess what's going to happen next. Both can be done while 100% aware that you are indeed watching a story.
And I think he was wearing practically the same red shirt! However I'm still willing to accept it as a cool coincidence.
You're not alone, and you're not fucking stupid. People watch shows with different objectives. Being engrossed in a storyline (either willfully or just by merit of the storyline) can cause a viewer to overlook complex things like symbolism and even simple things like plot predictability. There's nothing wrong with…
I thought it seemed really odd that all the people watching Brienne fight the bear seemed happy to help pull her out once Jaime hoisted her up.
Ha, I called Grey Worm Obama too.
The big reveal at the end strained believability in a number of ways. First, it is silly to insinuate that Don can get literally any woman he wants… even the one down the hall! Second, did he seriously walk the doctor out for his midnight alpine adventure, then walk back in and go to the neighbor lady's apartment…
I don't entirely remember how the Delroy incident played out (i.e. if it was truly self defense), but for whatever reason they chose to hide it at the time. Now they're stuck with that decision. :-(
Clearly the bourbon was messing with my attentiveness at that point. Thanks for the clarification. Maybe Justified is without flaws. :-)
Crotch or thigh?
