Honestly, I feel like being dickish is completely justifiable and you are in fact, not a dick for paying more attention to the death of a family member.

The film I've seen the most is Spirited Away and I kind of hate that I've seen it enough to be bored with it. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I enjoy watching Porco Rosso the most even if I think he's made better films.
